This generous half-gram portion of our saffron was cultivated right here in Kent. Each thread was lovingly picked and expertly handled in October 2022, with a best-before date of October 2024. What sets our saffron apart is that it's exclusively composed of the vibrant red parts of the saffron stigma. During processing, we meticulously trim away and discard all the yellow styles.
Saffron from the 2022 harvest underwent a stringent evaluation according to ISO standards, achieving an impressive crocin score of 284. To put this into perspective, any rating above 190 is classified as Grade 1, the absolute zenith of saffron quality!
