Golan Heights Wine Tour

"The place where the Israel Wine revolution began..."

The ultimate Israel Wine Experience: The Golan Heights is in the north east of the country. It is where new world wine making expertise first arrived in Israel in the 1980’s, sparking a revolution in high quality Israeli wine. The Golan is a volcanic plateau overlooked by the snow-covered Mount Hermon with a view to the Sea of Galilee. The soils are volcanic tuff and basalt stone. Elevations rise up to 1,200 meters above sea level.

Wineries
Israel's first 'wine country' region is packed with boutique wineries, as well as leading players in the wine industry. Among our tasting stops are wineries such as Assaf in Kedem Wine Village, Bazelet Hagolan the regions's first boutique winery, Chateau Golan and Golan Heights Winery.
